Today was my Weight Watchers meeting for the week- fabulous as usual :] We talked about red light foods (ones that are irresistible) & how it is perfectly fine to have them in moderation. My leader encouraged each of us to make a list of our red light foods & to calculate the points values for each so that when we do eat them we are aware of the "damage". haha. She didn't word it that way, however that's my version of it.
I will have to brainstorm a list for myself over this next week, however I would have to say my biggest weakness of all would have to be PIZZA! :] I haven't really had any since I started eating healthy simply because It is absolutely irresistible to me! I don't know what it is- It's a love of mine. I hope that I will find a way to incorporate it into my life without going overboard. So far my best bet has been either Weight Watchers Smart Ones or Lean Cuisine pizzas :] Works for me..
When I weighed in at the meeting I was down 2.8 pounds for the week.. I am very happy with that! :] I've got to admit... It's sometimes hard to be patient with weight loss (actually most of the time!). When I think of the grand scheme of things & that I still have 150 lbs. left to lose, it can be kind of depressing. I know that I have to fight these thoughts, but it's really hard. However, I will stay strong and remain positive!
Amazing weight loss! That's great!!
ReplyDeleteTry to keep those short-term goals in the fore-front of your mind. Those are much easier to swallow than the big picture goals. They area also less overwhelming and we all know all the facts and ideas behind weight loss can be overwhelming.
You are doing wonderful!!! Keep up the great work!
Great job!! Just keep moving one step at a time!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the weight loss!!! 2.8lb, over time, equals OVER 150lb - so you are totally on the way there.
ReplyDeletePizza is a weakness of mine as well - I super pink puffy heart it. I eat the LC ones all the time - both the french bread and the other ones. Super yummy.
Congrats Katie! Way to go this week. Do you have Trader Joe's in Wisconsin? They have a great whole wheat pizza dough. We make our own pizza's sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great! I still have another 90 plus to go, so we lets just get there one day at a time. Patience has always stumped me up in the past and I am trying to really work with it now. Hope you have a good weekend!
Wohooo! Great weight loss!
ReplyDeleteWe always make our own pizza. That way you can control what you put on there and therefor the fat/calories that you eat. I always have tomato paste (those cute tiny little tins), mushrooms, pineapple, lean ham, Italian herbs, maybe some pesto and then of course some cheese.
Works for me! And it's delicious!
But you can make them every healthier of course! ;)
CONGRATS ON THE 2.8! That is awesome! Try to not focus on the total amount to lose or it can be disheartening. Set up little goals with rewards attached and focus on those! I've met two of mine now and know I will not be stopping no matter how long it takes! I am only 3.6 pounds away from my next goal! See how doable that sounds instead of 95 pounds! Works for me!
ReplyDeleteI have learned to make my own pizza and it is healthy and good for you. Most of all it is delicious! Try it, you may be surprised!
Have a great weekend!
Congrats on the awesome loss!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually originally from Wisconsin, I will be in the deliciously cheesey state for three weeks for my mom's wedding! I can't wait :)
Pizza is amy all-time weakness. Pizza...with lots of meat, a thin crust, and no veggies!
