Weigh In Day! (drumroll please...)

So because I missed Weight Watchers on Friday I was going to wait until the final day of the "shred challenge" to weigh in, but I gave up on that whole scenario. haha.

I just couldn't resist stepping on the scale this morning... Since I've been working my butt off it's hard not to want to see results, so I figured it was alright :]  However I WILL do my measurements & pictures on Wednesday for the grand finale of the shred.  I cannot believe the challenge is almost over.  I have never worked out this hard in my entire life... It has been such a mental and physical challenge for me!  & I am so proud of myself that I have been able to stick with it.  That dang Jillian sure is a butt kicker!

So to my thorough surprise and excitement!... I lost 4.4 lbs. this past week and a half!... That's more than my first week's loss.  I swear- I almost peed my pants. ALMOST!  I can't wait to see if the inches have been melting away along with the fat!  I am just so happy that I have committed to making this life changing decision.  It has been such a rollercoaster, but I know that in the end it will be worth every minute of it.

SoOo... my walking/newly running shoes have been giving me blisters.  Do any of you wonderful bloggers have any ideas for some good, solid, comfortable shoes?!

I'm thinking these...

NOT! haha. The new Skechers-shape-ups...  If only it were so easy as to walk around in ginormous clown shoes to lose weight! :]

Have A Terrific Tuesday! :]

  1. I would suggest going to a running store and having someone help you find the right running shoe for your foot. I did that a few years ago and have never had a blister when running.

Congrats on your hard work and keep it up!

  2. I swear by Merrell's. I have tried them all, nike, addias, rockport. I have never found a more comfortable shoe in my life. Awesome arch support. Most shoe stores carry them. They are pricey (well no more than any other name brand) but I haven't changed brands since I discovered them about 10 years ago. My "everyday" shoes, my workout shoes and even my sandles are all Merrells. Good luck

  3. For walking I wear Ryka's. They are marketed as "designed specifically for women". Whatever that means. :) Anyway, they are so comfortable and provide a lot of support. They have running shoes too but I haven't tried them.

Now that I've been running as well I run in a pair of Nikes which I don't like. I am planning on treating myself by going to a running store and getting fit for a new pair.

    Congrats on the weight loss!

  4. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So super excited for your loss this week. The hard work really does pay off. Can't wait to see the results after Wednesday.

Have you ever heard of body glide? I guess it's sold in like a deodarant stick looking thing but you can run it on your feet or anywhere that would rub and give you blisters. I've never tried it but runners swear by it.

  6. Oh man! Am jealous now! What a wonderful weight loss!
I only lost 0,2 kilo in a week. I did loose some centimeters though, which is good.

I've got good walking shoes for hiking. Ans Reebok running shoes for running.
The walking shoes should be rather tight so that your feet don't move in your shoes. That causes the blisters. As I have found out.
Running shoes are different, they shouldn't be too tight, just comfortable.

Best thing you can do is go to specialized shops. You might pay some more, but in the end it's better.

Keep up the good work! :D

  7. Awesome loss! I thought about you last week when we were on vacation. We arrived at a friends house late an had not exercised yet. We did day one of "the shred" because it was free on comcast. My god, I hurt the next day. I am thinking about buying the dvd. What a great workout. Hope you are doing well - you seem to be. Looking forward to getting caught up on your posts from last week!
